
Popular 4-row repeat patterns using knit and purl stitches are a great choice for both beginners and older knitters

Double Moss stitch
Pattern: Multiple of 4 stitches plus 1 (e.g., 17, 21, 25 stitches, etc.).
Row 1 (RS): Knit 2, *purl 2, knit 2; repeat from * to the end.
Row 2 (WS): *Purl 2, knit 2; repeat from * to the last 2 stitches, purl 2.
Row 3: Purl 2, *knit 2, purl 2; repeat from * to the end.
